Caring for your skin should have no excuse. Not while you’re at home, not while you have a busy schedule and certainly not while you’re travelling. You can and should always carry your skincare along when you travel to care for your skin no matter what the weather. But we do understand that carrying all of your skincare products according to your daily skincare routine might get difficult. So what do you do then? Well, you can use some tips for natural skincare routine and maintain the skin of your dreams even when you’re taking a trip.

How to Get the Road Trip Skin:

  1. Keep Things as Similar as You Can to Your Usual Skincare Routine: If your daily skincare routine is working wonders for you, why’d you want to change it? For those who are trying to manage skin conditions while travelling, make sure you keep your routine consistent. The easiest way to keep your entire skincare routine as similar as possible while you travel is by grabbing travel-sized versions of all your products. If those don’t exist, you can transfer some of the products into smaller containers and carry them on your trip.
  2. Focus on the True Essentials, if You Can Only Bring a Few Things: If you prefer to travel light, just stick with the essentials. Skincare while travelling is important, so make sure you carry sunscreen with at least SPF 30, makeup wipes, facial cleanser, face moisturiser and body butter. Speaking of body butter, you can try the Pure Sense Macadamia Deep Nourishing Body Butter. This body butter is a rich treat for your skin as it provides deeply moisturised and velvety-soft skin. It protects your skin from dryness and damage while you’re on the road. This body butter is loaded with vitamins and rare antioxidants that replenish your skin.
  3. Don’t Rely on Hotel Soaps: Experts always specifically mention avoiding using hotel soaps as cleansers. These products are generally not of the highest quality and can be extremely drying. Your travel skincare routine should always have a face and a body cleanser that you can use every day to clean your skin without any unnecessary damage.
  1. Think Ahead About the Dry Plane Ride: If you’ve booked a couple of flights for your travel destination, make sure you use a hydrating sheet mask, under-eye mask or a facial mist while on the flight. Long plane journeys can dehydrate your skin and so it’s important to carry hydrating masks that will provide your skin with extra moisture. Increase or decrease the moisturiser depending on how dry or oily your skin feels since you’re travelling to a different region.
  1. Pay Attention to Your Eyes and Lips: If you are experiencing a dry plane ride or a change in time zone, your eyes and lips could feel dry too. The time change and jet lag can be the biggest downer for travelling. Hence, you must carry your under-eye and lip products to provide them with hydration and care.
  1. Always Carry Your “Emergency” Products: If you are someone with acne-prone skin, it’s always better to include acne-fighting products that contain salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide just in case. Packing light should always be your goal. But one of these products for your random travel breakout is necessary.
  1. Consider Carrying a Personal Humidifier: Portable bedside humidifiers are quite important if you’re travelling to a cold region. If you feel the travel is drying out your skin, it may be worth it to bring a small humidifier along with you for the trip to cut down on the dryness and keep your skin moisturised.
