  • TAKE A DANCE CLASS OR JUST DANCE!

Even if your coordination is not perfect, you can still benefit from a dance class. You’ll find plenty of clubs, studios and ballrooms that offer lessons or classes in any style of dance, including hip-hop, tango and two-step.

  • KAYAKING

Paddling a kayak on calm water is an excellent way to get fit. As you propel the kayak through the water, you will engage your core and strengthen your legs. You’ll also get to experience nature, which will benefit your mental and physical health.

  • RIDE A BIKE

You don’t necessarily have to be Lance Armstrong in order to have fun and get a great workout while riding your bike. Don’t be afraid to buy a cycling kit or shoes. Put on your shoes, lace them up and put on your helmet. Safety first! Grab a water bottle and get out on the bike. You can pedal at a leisurely pace as long as it feels comfortable. Or you could push yourself with some mini-sprints and uphill climbs. You might also consider taking an indoor cycling class if you don’t feel like riding outside.

Standup paddleboarding is a great way to get in a good workout. Add a few yoga poses to the mix and you have a complete physical challenge. Before you get on the water, research some poses online.
