Top Tips for Throwing A Good PartyTop Tips for Throwing A Good Party

Finally, the COVID-19 guidelines have been relaxed and it is now possible for up to 6 people to have a gathering outside provided they have social distance. You can also start planning summer memories by organizing a good party. However, we need to be realistic and ensure we are safe while having fun.

Today, we are going to share with you some tips to keep you safe while having fun. While the ideas in this article may seem different to what you are used to, just focus on what you can do during these times instead of what you cannot do and enjoy the party. That said, here are the top tips for enjoying a good party during these times:

  1. Ensure That You Have a Hand Sanitizer Station

Having a hand sanitiser station is very important when organizing a party. This is because it will make people keep their hands clean. If kids will be attending your party, make washing of hands fun by creating a chart for them to tick their name on the sheet whenever they wash their hands. The kids will love this and in the process, they will keep washing their hands.

  1. Ice Buckets Full of Canned Drinks Like Bottled Water

Rather than sharing drinks from pitchers, consider stocking up on canned drinks. Serve cans and bottles in ice buckets. This will help you avoid handling the same bottles and enable you to drink ice-cold drinks from a bucket. Consider recycling your cans and bottles after the party. It is a good idea to have a recycling box somewhere in the garden for the guests to put cans and bottles in it. If you have enough space and buckets, consider having a drink station for each family/couple.

  1. Encourage Your Guests to Bring Their Own Funky Glass

This is worth considering, especially if your guests want to drink from a glass. When your guests bring their own glasses, it will be easier to differentiate the glasses and there will be no mix-up. Your guests can take their glasses home after the party meaning less washing up for the host.

  1. Take the Essentials to the Garden

Taking the essentials to the garden will help you avoid making many trips to the house. For instance, if you know that you may need blankets later in the evening when the temperature drops, take them to the garden in advance. Cushions and blankets are a good way to dress up a garden and adding some candles will create a flashy seating area.

  1. What About Food?

Rather than serving sharing dishes like nuts and crisps, consider sandwiches for each of your guests the day before. If you would like to have a BBQ, ensure that there is a person in charge of cooking and serving. Check out these simple serving suggestions from BBC Good Food.  Look for cardboard plates and biodegradable or recyclable cutlery.

If you will be using your cutlery, take your cutlery holder from the dishwasher to the garden and let your guests put them in to wash after eating. It is also a good idea to consider dessert especially if it is hot outside. Ice lollies or individual ice cream tubs can be a good option as there is no sharing.

  1. Music to Set the Tone

Music will make you feel good and will make your party enjoyable. Get your groove on and enjoy your party. Our Party Playlist on Spotify has some good songs. Consider checking it out. You will find different songs. In fact, there is a song for everyone and you can be sure that our Party Playlist will create a good atmosphere and make your party have some fun.

  1. Make the Most of It!

We know that you have missed your dearest and nearest and you will be waiting for an opportunity to make the most of the time you have with them. Consider a Tik Tok dance routine complete with glow sticks in a variety of colors and uses. Or split into two groups, practice the dance and come back to give your performance.  We will be happy to see these. Tag us using the #theiceco if you will post on Instagram.
